Denver, CO - Boulder/Longmont Market Overview

Due to the presence of the University of Colorado, Boulder has an unusually young population (average age is 29 compared to the national average of 35). Aside from the university population, Boulder is fairly affluent with more-expensive housing rates. The city is perfect for businesses directed at appealing to young adults and the more affluent, older population. It is located 35 minutes northwest of Denver and 12 south of Longmont.

Longmont is also an educational city. In 2010, the Institute of Business & Medical Careers opened a campus in Longmont. The top employer is the St. Vrain Valley Schools (regional district). Longmont is very accessible with bus lines into Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, Loveland, and Berthoud. In 2012, the League of American Bicyclists awarded the silver-level bicycle-friendly community to Longmont.
