Mark Kagan is a respected and skilled commercial real estate professional for over 25 years. A licensed real estate broker and attorney, he represents Fortune 500 companies to “Start-ups.” His clients benefit from his highly consultative, advisory approach. Representation focuses on business operations and goals using legal expertise to minimize risk and reduce costs; whether acquiring, managing, or transitioning the business location.

Mark was born and raised in Los Angeles. In 1979, he attended San Diego State University, where he received a B.A. degree in Economics, graduating with distinction honors in the study of Econometrics.

From 1985 to 1991, Mr. Kagan worked in San Diego as a commercial real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate, Grubb & Ellis, and Colliers International. During those years Mark specialized as a listing agent, leasing and selling office and flex properties when he earned various achievements to include Top 10 Producer many months over.

In December of 1994, Mark graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and passed the California Bar exam. He briefly practiced law in the area of real estate transactions, and real estate litigation. However, was lured back to boardroom working in-house for Telephony companies, which required real estate rights to deploy facilities for fiber optic and wireless networks throughout the U.S. Mr. Kagan then went to work with F&F Partners, a real estate investment firm, where Mark was President of Acquisitions and Leasing.

At F&F, Mark was instrumental in the acquisition and leasing of 11 properties, located in 7 states, which were positioned and retrofitted for Telephony industry. After the Tech Bubble climax, and fall in 2000, Mark assisted with the disposition of the portfolio and returned to brokerage where he started his own venture assisting businesses with their commercial real estate requirements, and forming real estate investment partnerships.

Over the course of years Mr. Kagan has negotiated, or been a party to hundreds of transactions to include, leases, license agreements, purchase agreements, easements, 1031 exchanges, and public right of way agreements. His expertise has been deployed as a principal, broker, board member, and attorney.

Mr. Kagan is a Group Leader in ProVisors, which is a leadership role in an organization of vetted service professionals 3,000 strong. He serves on the LCC Foundation board, and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association. He also maintains his law license as a registered “Active Member” of the California State Bar.

Mark is married 24 years. He and his wife reside with their two sons, in Carlsbad, California. He is avid in the surf on his paddle board, and loves watching his boys play sports.
