Property Details

The Platform is located on the border of South End and LoSo in Charlotte. It is surrounded by other new developments, restaurants, breweries, office space, and countless multifamily developments. We have about +/- 46,000 sf of interior and patio/rooftop space between two buildingsall retail/restaurant/service/entertainment uses. The single story building is being rehabbed to maintain the history of the property but will have new roll up doors, patio spaces, a bow truss roof, frontage on South Blvd and the Rail Trail, and direct access out into the courtyard. We are constructing a brand new two story building with a rooftop bar. This building will include balconies, roll up doors, frontage on South Blvd and the Rail Trail, and direct access out into the courtyard. There will be about 115 parking spaces.
The Light Rail train and Rail Trail see a combined 50,000 pedestrians a week. The Rail Trail flows right into the courtyard of The Platform and we will also see a lot of pedestrian activity in our green spaces that act as book ends on either sides of the project.Timing of the project is now! We have started demolition of the part of the exiting building where we will be placing the new construction. Construction and rehab will begin first quarter next year and we will be able to deliver tenants their space to start upfits most likely late Q3/early Q4 of 2020.
