The rear portion of the Bullard Center is more commonly known as the former Schwegmann's Giant Supermarket. The building was originally built in 1984 and contains approximately 110,000 SF, with loading docks on each end, and is situated on 10.36 acres in the SE quadrant of the Bullard Ave. / I-10 Interchange. The building and roof are in good condition and the building is currently vacant. It is adjacent to McDonald's and Taco Bell, and is across the street from the Super Walmart. The building was built for retail and is an excellent candidate for repurposing / mixed-use. The site is located in two (2) Overlay Districts which include the CT Corridor Transformation District Overlay, and the Eastern New Orleans Renaissance Corridor Use Restriction Overlay District (ENORC).
