Begun in 1899, Burdette Hardware was a family business, both in the traditional sense, and in the sense that the Burdette family considered everyone in Simpsonville part of their family.
It was a store, a gathering place, and the kind of business where they’d know your name, extend credit in bad times, share it’s bounty in good times and in general make everyone feel like they had a place to go.
Today, that location has become Burdette Central, but with a clear objective of remaining true to its roots, of honoring its past, of welcoming everyone through an eclectic mix of businesses with the friendliness that’s been endemic to Simpsonville certainly since 1899, and that will make this landmark building one of the most heavily trafficked central hubs of this special and burgeoning town.

In the case of Burdette Central, that’s a very good thing. Because the history that remains in the air, that made everyone feel like they mattered, and that made people feel so good about where and with whom they did business, is alive and well and anxiously awaiting your presence.
